I just caught wind and read this entire worklog. (Day before July 4th. 1 department open besides us)

Wow man. That is some impressive work with MDF and a variety of harmful chemicals to shape your fountain. This is definitely top notch scratchbuilding.

The use of filler dust on the rocks is a stroke of real ingenuity.

Good luck and I hope you get it in and working in time.

Also, remember that once the water is flowing, it takes very little to look cool, so a larger pump might not be needed. A great example of this is fish tanks. They have tiny little pumps.

Anyway, keep up the good work and post when you can.

AMAZING!!! The fountain idea is genius! Is the insulating part going to be tricky? Looking forward to seeing the progress!

    Hi all,

I just got back from xLAN a few minutes ago. I apoligise for the lack of updates as I have been working hard to get it done on time. I finished it but not to a standard that I would have liked. I would have preferred to have a little more painting details and a few other things but as it was I managed to get first place For which I scored myself a Silverstone TJ07 (Look out for a project log coming soon :p ) and a pretty shiny medal

I don’t have a lot of pics of the last bits of building or painting as I was in a hurry and didn’t even think about stopping to take pics. I will post an update within the next couple of days once I have had some sleep and get my computer going.

    Thanks

Nice to see that you won, and we understand you were rushed to get it done in time. Can't wait to see how it turned out.
