    Default Review: PEGGLE!

You guys have no idea how much I wanted to do a Video review for this, but alas, peggle did not allow me to Fraps it without 2 FPS lag.

    So without further ado!

    PEGGLE

    PEGGLE!
    Single-Player PC

Hailed as "The Top 5 Most addicting Games" by MSNBC and "#40 on the 100 favourite computer games of all time" by PC gamer, I bring you PEGGLE!

Peggle is an arcade-esque game published by the ever growing "Pop-Cap Games". It features bright colours, rainbows, flying stars, and small explosions all in a handy little quick play of a game.

The game is much like an old pinball machine. The ball gets shot out of the top of the map, and your goal is to hit the pegs to earn points. Their are 4 kinds of pegs. Orange, Blue, Green, and purple. Orange pegs are for level completion, blue pegs are for points, purple pegs appear randomly and add a point multiplier, and the green pegs activated the current characters ability.
What I personally LOVE about the game, is the last peg. When the ball gets near the last orange peg it drumrolls, zooms in on it, and if it hits, it explodes with Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" in glorious symphony!

From the start, you have 4 game modes to choose from.
    • Adventure
    • Quick Play
    • Duel
    • Challenge

Adventure mode incompasses all the maps in a fun yet...Acid trip based storyline. It makes no sense to follow the story whatsoever, however because your more or less trying to play the game. It's an arcade. Get me to the playing already! It's a good thing that you can pretty much skip everything.

Adventure mode as your progress in it, unlocks characters. 10 different characters with their own special ability.
    • Bjorn, a unicorn with the ability to see the trajectory of where the ball is going to head.
    • Jimmy Lightning, a beaver that tends to spring up more balls.
    • Kat Tut, the Egyptian Cat that creates ramps on the side of the free ball hole to decrease chances of falling into the pit.
    • Splork, The alien that explodes the surrounding pegs of the first peg you hit when the ability was activated.
    • Claude, the lobster that makes the game into weird version of pinball.
    • Renfield Pumpkin, a pumpkin head that allows the ball, after its fallen into the pit, to appear at the top of the map.
    • Tula, the flower with the power () to light up 20% of the remaining orange pegs.
    • Warren, a magic rabbit that roulettes other abilities/Various point modifiers.
    • Lord Cinderbottom, a dragon that turns the ball into a fireball and blasts its way through ANY peg with ease.
    • Master Hu, a zen owl that can nudge the ball whichever way you decide to nudge it.

Quick-Play explains itself pretty well. Play an player selected unlocked map with a player selected unlocked character.

Duel mode is quick play, but against a friend on the same computer. Each person takes turn and the person with the most points win. Pretty easy eh? Got the game yet?

Lastly there is challenge mode. Same maps, but with a twist. From varying challenges on each map that include, "300,000" Where you have to get 300k points to complete the challenge, to Clearing the entire playing field. Sounds easy but it really isn't. I've probably logged at least 2 hours into one map trying to clear the entire field.

Over all its a GREAT little time-waster.

    Overall:8.5
    Graphics:6
    Sound:9
    Gameplay: 9

    Fun fun fun fun fun

I'll be sure to review a game that sucks for the next time.

    Maybe E.T.

Who knows. Talk to you gents later

That isn't a videogame. It's premium drugs disguised with pretty colors.

Another big reason i like this game, is its short playing span.

Most games are like driving. "Why drive home when I have work in 30 minutes" or "I cant get myself into a game for only 20 minutes then leave"

Peggle is a game, that fills in that gap before you have to leave somewhere. That..Idle time.

There is no 'ctrl' button on Chuck Norris's computer. Chuck Norris is always in control.

I'm not surprised in the least. My mom used to play Dr. Mario on the fastest drop setting on Level 20...and beat it. I think the highest she ever got was L54 or 55.

Is it just me who thinks that the two 'g's in the loading screen look like boobies?
