    Default All right arduino fanatics...

I have a question for you, you tell me if it's feasible.

I'd like to run the fans for my next setup from an Arduino, on temperature control (board can only do so many/so many amps.) Is this doable, or should I stick to a good Lamptron fan controller (like their new billet one) and use the Arduino to run lighting (if I can ever figure one out...) if I choose to light the case?

Looking at making my own controller, but the Lamptron is super ultra sexy. Like I could just set it on my desk as a paperweight sexy.

Anyone know anything I can start out with?

Can you do it? Yes! Will it be cheaper and look better than the one you linked to? NO But again it is doable.

You answered a big question there.

The Arduino thing still interests me, and I could see us creating some very nice testing equipment with one. I'm gonna keep plugging away at ideas, and see where it gets me.

What can you tell me about lighting with one?

For lighting? I recommend some nice relays or MOSFETs.

    For analog fan control, mosfets.
For digital PWM fan control, (aka the 4 pin fans) I recommend a transistor.
