    Default Dummy Security Cameras?

    I was thinking about adding a few dummy cameras to the outside of my house for security. I have never had a break in or anything, but I thought it may be a smart move.

    Maybe I'll save a little bit of money on my home insurance??

    dunno bout insurance savings.. but if i might suggest... get 1 or 2 real ones.. (like 1 front of house.. the other at the rear) then a few dummys scattered around... then get a capture card made for cams..
    usually capture cards for cameras come with some nifty software
    like locked streaming feeds.. so u can check from an iphone... or any other computer thats online..
    depending on the card.. u might also get one with a motion trigger sensor... (helps saves HDD space)

    Swap out a lightbulb with an energy efficient one. Check.

    Leave light on when away or sleeping. Check.

    Put multiple moving cardboard cutouts in the window of said room with light. Check.

    Your home is now secure. You're welcome.

    People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

    My security system;

    Seriously, A dummy camera will not affect your insurance. They like to see real security devices to give you a discount. I get a discount for my fire/intruder alarm and I had to show my agent that it was functional.
