    Default Anyone miss the stylus?

So recently I was trying to use MSN to talk to a friend on my HTC Magic, and I came to realize that it's a major pain in the ass.

I used to own a Dell x50v a while back, and with the stylus and graffiti option, I was able to enter text really fast.

It's unfortunate everyone's trying to copy apple with the stupid capacitive touch screen. On screen touch keyboards on something that small have to be the stupidest "advent" in technology ever.

I've yet to see a modern smartphone with a stylus .

They don't even work with today's touch screens.

If you wanna message, get a keyboard. Touch screens suck.

Ya I know, hence why I hate capacitive touch screens

Just ever doing typing is a pain in the ass though. Trying to just go to a website sometimes is a nightmare.

Oh, I hate touch screens! I mourn the passing of the stylus. I had a touch screen and abandoned it for an HTC Ozone.

I have a stylus that works on capacitive touch screen... I hate it, it's so fat compared to my old stylus on my phones. But I also also have a thumb keyboard.

You guys are wearing rose-tinted glasses. The stylus was awkward to use and a pain in the ass. No-one would write with a pen and paper the way you were expected to use the stylus.

Touch screen is a pain in the ass; it's a lot less accurate than stylus or buttons, but you can use it with one hand if you want to. You get a bigger screen, and the phone can be made more robust if it has less moving parts (like buttons or slide-out keyboards). You also won't lose the stylus. Having used both, I'd have to say I prefer the slide out keyboard to either.

    Xperia X1? I have it.

Slideout KB, resistive touch with stylus, and (since it's apparently a big deal thanks to Apple) a 300dpi screen.

Only problem is WinMo... Which I like, but since everyone seems to hate it nevermind. lol

The KB (and phone itself) is starting to fall apart. Keys are unresponsive, Idrop it a lot, and WinMo 6.1 seems to be a bottle neck anymore.

Sounds like someone hasn't found swype - or it isn't compatible with their phone.

Swype has improved my quality of life.
