Thread: I need a new motherboard tray, But...

Question I need a new motherboard tray, But...

The only one I can find is pretty expensive, Anybody here have any experience with these?
    Modular HPTX-SR2 Motherboard tray assembly
I need something pretty sturdy and solid feeling, that fits in there like the one I linked to.

:edit: there is another one there that is a bit cheaper, but it looks like they copied the Lian Li motherboard tray a little bit but those if you could find it are quite a bit more affordable..Oh another question what is that "security tab" that they are talking about?

    Any better suggestions is great!

What size MBB do you need it for? Do you need the backplate as well?

Full ATX the larger the better, and yes the back plate is a must.

Yeah, if you can find one, the Lian-Li that renderman linked is the way to go. If not, I saw a few without back plates, but other than that...your best bet might be to just buy a donor case. Heck, you can pick up a NZXT Beta Evo classic for $45 with free shipping.

Nice! I hadn't seen that one before. Great price too.

I got the new motherboard tray installed, its AWESOME! the quality you get is worth way more then the 11 bucks there asking for it. Its even better then that $70+ tray that other place is selling!
Its a work in progress there's still a lot to do, like the permanent power buttons and the water cooling, I'm also going to be updating the computer a lot soonish.
Here is a few before shots...

Here is a couple pics of the new board installed...
