    Default IMSAI 8080. (Retro replica)

This project started when I saw one of my favourite movies! "War games". for the 15th time.

    (Computer in the background)

The computer used by the hero was a " IMSAI 8080 " from 1975

This first Personnel Computer is so cool and ugly! I just hade to make one as a casemod for my PC!
So I started manufacture my own with what I got at home. Wood, Plexiglas, Tin, Paint, LEDs, and cables and lots of glue
The size is measured after the original imsai8080.

    This is the result

    and some worklogg pictures!

Right. That's it. I'm giving up on my 386 project and building a dual cored abacus.

    That's cool.

This retro thing is picking up a little... Maybe we should have out own forum here?

    So you'll like this then.

Edit: I'm looking at that plaster of paris mould, and the pan, and the switch...
Did you cast those in lead?

I like the chase lights near the top. I reminds me of the comps on the original Star Trek
