Ok so I just got my hands on one of these....

JVC is running two "special offers" at the moment for which I'm eligible. The first is for a pair of 16GB SD cards, the second is for a hi capacity battery. Both items are utterly free, and both come with the usual "Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer" junk so trying to claim both isn't an option - one of the conditions of both offers is returning the warranty card and I only have one of them.
Here's the thing. I just bought two cheap 32GB cards for the camcorder, so I don't really NEED any more space. At the same time they were VERY cheap so I have no idea how reliable they're going to be (I already checked the capacity, they are genuine 32's). I figure cash value, they're worth about £35 ($50).
The hi capacity battery is 3750mAh and claims up to 250 hours of recording time between charges. The standard battery is 1400mAh so I figure that should be good for up to 100 hours recording which, if I'm honest, is more than what I expect to need. The hi-capacity battery is for sale from JVC for £100 ($150)
I don't NEED either deal, but they're both free. The battery has a much higher cash value, but I can see more potential use from the SD cards as they'll also work in my 9mp Digital camera, and as they're "approved" by JVC they'll kinda take away my worry about the quality of the 32GB cards I have in hand...
Opinions, thoughts? Cos I can't make up my mind, although if pushed, I'd admit I'm leaning slightly (VERY slightly) towards the cards over the battery...
EDIT: My wife has suggested getting the battery, selling it on ebay, buying the cards, and pocketing the difference which makes wonderful sense, but I know what I'm like - I'd probably never get around to actually doing it lol
