Default I have been softdrink free for almost 3 weeks now!

Yes it's true, I have been soft drink free for almost 3 weeks now. I can't say that I feel any different, but I am visiting the bathroom much less now, and I am drinking 2 cases of bottled water a week.

I buy my water at Aldi. $2.50 for a case of 24. I like the convenience of a bottle.

Keep it up. The sugar, caffeine, and whatever makes the fizz is not good for you. I had to give up soda over three years ago. I've been away from the stuff for so long that the effervescence offends me now.

I used to get bad headaches due to the caffeine addiction. But I get way less headaches now that I no longer have a steady intake of caffeine. Breaking that addiction was not easy though.

So I recommend that everyone gives up soda. The only thing good about it is the way it tastes.

I am still drinking a few gatoraids here and there, and I drink a ton of coffee in the mornings.

I went caffeine free for 90 days once.. I felt so good... too bad I snapped after a bad day, and started back into the energy drinks.

For me, soda (in Canada we say "pop") is not a constant thing, more of a once in awhile treat, but it's almost always diet for me. I'm trying to cut down the sugar intake, so that's where I'm starting.

Funny, me too about the same time. My poison of choice was diet coke. It was out of hand. I could drink a 2 liter bottle of diet coke and go to sleep. Caffeine had no affect on me anymore. I went cold turkey with crushing headaches but the last week or so has been fine. I've been drinking tea to mitigate some of the effects but not really into it.

I've never really been able to drink much soda, and we virtually never have them around our house. I have a soda about once a week at school, but even then, I have a hard time finishing them because I feel full after drinking half a can. I suppose it's a good thing to have a natural soda-consumption inhibitor though.

This was my reason, plus I was visiting the bathroom to drain the main vein about 10 times a night.
