    Vcore 1.6
HTlink and the other 1 are at 6x multi
    ram is at 4x multi...

That vcore is way to high. please help TBCS

    Motherboard

    Gigabyte GPA890-UD3H

    Try

    multi: 16
    clock: 250
vcore:1.45-1.48 (maybe higher if really necessary)
HTLink and NB: between 2000 and 2400 (8-10x, anything much higher actually reduces performance and increases heat/instability)
    assuming ram default is 1333: 5x (1250)

It should be stable. You can tweak the base clock up from there.
    I'll procrastinate tomorrow.

the multi is locked to 14... hence the root cause of all our troubles...

Heres a screenshot of what we're trying now... cant quite get it stable...

Ah, forgot that it would be locked. My bad.
Well, I would start out with the multiplier and ram minimized to isolate the mobo. See how far you can get the clock up on that to see if it's the board or the cpu that's causing the instability. Once you find its max, semi-slowly step the multi up to your goal. If you get the cpu past 4.0 but it's not stable, then and only then, lower the base clock down a bit...especially since you're already at 1.5+ vcore. After you get that set, adjust the ram for best performance. I'd definitely recommend writing all pertinent settings down on paper and tucking it away in a safe place. I've had boards 'forget' my presets and auto-default before. Nothing like spending a few hours fine-tuning settings only to see them wiped out a day later.
    I'll procrastinate tomorrow.
