Thanks mate.
This was a surprise but since she handles the check book I needed to let her in on it. And I told her she could be involved in it so that she could have some input on what I do to it.
She loves it so far but has a suspicion that I will be using it when she's not around...

Golden Lasso for the WIN!!!! err TRUTH.. ahh.. whatever!
Looking good so far. Very nice execution on a great theme!
I got my other fan ready and installed it in the side and it looks much better. But I still might have to make a new window. We'll see how much time I have when I get down to the end.
This is an Antec tri cool with 3 led's so it will have the red/white/blue combo when I'm done. And it's clear so it doesn't hide everything as much, especially while it's running.
After really looking at this more, I really do have to get rid of that window fan. Looks like a new sheet of acrylic just got put in my basket.

Wow, this is looking amazing! I keep thinking it's almost done and you keep coming up with more little touches to add. The stars blend perfectly from the inside to the outside.

Looking sweet. I agree to get rid of that fan but only if your either watercooling or the GPU isn't going to be all that big.
Thanks guys.
I will be keeping it air cooled since this is for my wife and she won't be doing any overclocking. I really don't need the fan at all that's in that window.
I know this will sound crazy too, but, I may not run a GPU at all since I'm using a Sandy Bridge proc and they have their own graphics capabilities built into the chip. This will also keep it a clean looking build. The gpu's look ugly anyway if you think about it. They put the fancy shell around them but it ends up on the bottom where you can't see it and so your looking at a bunch of soldering.
She only plays Plants vs. Zombies, Peggle, etc. so I don't think it will need too much power.
Or, I could get a vid card that I like and say it's for her but sneak into mine??

Make your own case and backplate for the GPU then.
Yea I've done that several times before and it turns out nice but I will try to keep this thing as un-cluttered as possible.
Here is a pic of a mod I did that I made one of the covers for a clean look -
If I do go with a vid card I will do the same most likely and do the same star treatment on the paint.
I picked up a piece of smoked acrylic today to start making the new side window too.
