    Hey all

    So I got my first Arduino today.

    I got the SparkFun Inventor's kit which comes with a arduino uno and a load of leds, resistors and motor and a bunch of other stuff to fiddle around with.

    I can't believe I never looked into these before. I didn't realize they just ran using there own c like language which is super simple to program in.

    I think I am going to get simple char LCD display next so I can output some more interesting things.

    So far I have wired up 8 led's to the board and have them make pretty patterns and boy am I hooked.

    lol it's a lot of fun check sparkfun for LCDs, as you can get them in nearly any color combo

    I bought all my lcds from ebay for $0.99. Ones with a parallel controller are the easiest to interface. You can run them on just 4 data lines.
