    Looks nice.

I need some AMD help. AMD's CPUs are much cheaper than Intel's so I figure thats a better bet for this server. I saw an AMD Athlon II X4 for $92 on Newegg. Is this a decent chip? I haven't used AMD in about 5+ years.

If not can any one recommend a CPU under $100 that's decent? And a mobo that would work out with a lot of SATA ports.

    Thanks in advance!

What do you actually plan to do with the server - if it's only going to be a big file server, any quad core is major overkill - any dual core would be more than capable and you could then use the savings to get other toys

Current Projects: Lobo | Unimatrix | High Voltage | Antec 900 Revamp (Phase 2)
Completed Projects: General Lee | Synergy Green | Liquid Yellow
    Planned Projects: K-9-PC | Limey

Well it was only $90 for a quad core so I was like "why not?" Which proc do you suggest then?
