Video card heatsink

Hello all. This isn't something I'm sure I'll do any time soon, but it is something I've occasionally thought of. I've been thinking about perhaps getting myself a new heatsink for my video card, to replace the stock one that's on it. I know this may be a risky thing to do if I mess it up, but I'm willing to take my chances. I recently bought a lovely heatsink for my CPU, which lowered the temperatures drastically, so I'm starting to think more and more about optimising my video card as well.

To start off, I have an 8800GTX. I do not know the first thing about what to look for in a GPU heatsink, what would work for my card, and how exactly to remove the current heatsink and apply a new one.

So I'm really not sure how to begin here. I'm hoping some of you may have a bit of advice, and perhaps a few suggestions of what I could get

I used an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 cooler passively on my 8800GT with excellent results. That was my first foray into video card cooling also and it went very smoothly. Great cooler if you have the room, fairly easy to install and cheap too, $35 new at Newegg.

That was actually the first one I saw when I took a brief look on Newegg, and it also appears to potentially be the same one that a friend of mine has in his computer. I'm liking the price as well. I assume this should work on any of the 8800 series of video cards (and would like to see more recommendations from people as well).

I second that, I ran an S1 for a long time on my 7900GT. I started passively, then added the turbo module when I found it cheap. My card was retired a while ago when I jumped to a GTX 470, I can see if I still have all the cooler stuff if you're interested.

I just may be interested. Does anyone know for sure if this will work on an 8800GTX though? Under the supported cards listed for this, it lists the 8800GT and 8800GTS, but not the 8800GTX. I've just never replaced a cooler on a video card before, so I have no idea what the 8800GTX requires.

The inner set of mounting holes are 43.2mm apart and the larger set are 53.4mm apart, according to the height restriction guide. Don't know what the mounting holes are but there seems to be mixed opinion online as to whether it works with the GTX.

Speaking of that, how does this mount to the card? I can't really tell from looking at the Newegg page.
