Default Bus Pirate v3.5 SOIC version Free PCB Build

Yep! Another project on my plate. dangerousprototypes.com has been running their free PCB draw for some time now with 3 chances a week of winning a free PCB coupon (it's now selected randomly) and I've entered a few times but never won. There was a post on their blog about just asking for for a coupon, and when I asked, they gave me one! So I'm now going to assemble it as soon as I can

The next part is quoting my post on their forums:
These are the parts I've already sourced so far:
1x FT232RL (SSOP2 - Sourced from a Sparkfun XBee Explorer PCB with ripped tracks (a laptop fell on it)
    1x PIC24FJ64GA002 - SOIC28
    1x CONN_USB_MINI-B
    1x 5V 150mAh LDO V-Reg - SOT-23-5
    4x 1KOhm 0603 resistors
    1x HEADER2X5-SHRD-PTH
    1x HEADER_PRG_PIC_ICSP
    2x 10uF Tantalem - SMC_A (Rated to 6.3v)
    3x 1uF Ceramic - 0603
    6x 0.1uF Ceramic - 0603

    Parts still to get:
    1x 4066 - TSSOP14
    1x 700mA+ ferrite bead - 0805
    8x 1.7v LEDs - 0805
    2x 2KOhm 0603 resistors
    2x 3.3V 150mAh LDO V-Reg - SOT-23-5
    3x 10KOhm Resistor Networks - 0603 spacing

I've still got quite a few parts to get before I can assemble it, but it's not too long to go! I'm hoping to order the last few parts in the next day or so. I'm also hoping to have a timelapse of the assembly of the PCB.

Just an update to this (it's a lot later than I wanted), this morning I ordered the last of the components as well as a Raspberry Pi.

So did I, and soldering SMD is going to be fun too!

I've been looking at the Bus Pirate as well. Note that this source recommends using a 1000mA ferrite bead, although it might not be required at all in this circuit if the power supply is tightly regulated - it is being used only to help regulate current flow to the ICs. I'll probably choose a "large" non-SMT component, a little toroid bead or something, since the larger part will provide better heat dissipation so component value won't drift during peak or sustained operation. Mouser has these parts, as do all sorts of ham radio sites.
My mind says Technic, but my body says Duplo.

    I built it!

Note the extra wire... I'll make a post on my website about it (or take a look at my twitter feed, it explains) soon enough and everything people may need to know.
