update.
Got the chopped up block back.
I may not need the block on the right if I am able to go water because the water block is plenty big and plenty heavy.
Just have to find the screws to hold these on now.

update-
The larger block was quite a bit off from the heating/cooling of the heatpipe. Lots of sanding took place today.
update 2-
Got the blocks installed in temporary form and the idle temps of the CPU are about 39/40c in the ~10min its been running. GPU is at 49c. idle 800mhz
upto 52c GPU, 42c CPU 800mhz
bumped to high perf setting at 2.1Ghz
52c GPU, 45c CPU 2.1Ghz 1min
55c GPU, 67c CPU 2.1Ghz 5min

Get that mirror finish!
Oh I got it. lol. that big block was ridiculously concave. I ran out of sandpaper. lol
I am happy that the blocks at least fit. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to keep them cool. The GPU mounts are just far enough, I can get a cross bracket and secure it. The CPU is going to be a littly trickier at least with the blocks I have as the screws are too close together.
I'll get some pics up later of it mounted.
Update
Some pics
Motherboard with copper blocks only.
Only way for CPU water block to sit on copper block. May have to look at replacing this block.
GPU water block. You can see it would be a really tight fit but doable as the screws would come down the sides and not really interfere. This block/setup would be OK.
I might have to get the CHC-120

Unfortunately this is now put on hold until the new year.

Not too long now.
Don't be terribly bummed.
Just sucks I have to wait, I really want to see if there is a decent gaming difference from the old setup and be able to use it to it's full/max potential. lol BUT looking at the cost of the waterblock/s needed ($30ea) plus the pump and rad, it still wont be cheap but hopefully cool looking. lol
I guess we'll see next yr.
