For the fan, it would be in the 80mm or 120mm depending on the rad. If it was a 120, it would probably be the slim fan. 80mm, not sure yet.

Either way, I probably won't have to run at full speed. At least that is the plan, lol

    Thanks.

lol. its OK. the pics/sketches were done to the point of getting the point across, i can repaste them in here if you need. lol

I don't want to cut the angle aluminum until I get some of the larger parts to make sure it will fit inside height wise. I was looking at a thermaltake copper rad for 80mm fan, with that it could change my height predictions. They have 120 slim fans and rads but they are out of my total budget build. I could get a couple 40mmx2 rads and run them at lower RPM but I haven't found enough reviews to trust they would dissipate the heat enough. Their dimensions are what make them appealing though.

Lol so you're at the point where you have several options but no idea which one to pick? Make a decision man!

exactly at that point. I already made a $30 dollar mistake on the water blocks, lol. Can't make more of those. The rad is 20+ship+fan, pump is 20+ depending on one i get. Believe it or not, the metal parts for the pad is actually the cheapest part.

    Thanks for the quick ship!

Here is the picture which is a "STILL IN PROGRESS" but necessary for Aldersan. lol

    update 1:
    New Parts list:

The blocks come with 2 compression fittings each. I will be removing 1 from each block to install a 90* swivel compression to extend to the other block. The other outlet will go to a quick disconnect for removal of laptop if/when needed. 1 quick disconnect will lead to the radiator, the other will come from the Pump. 2 straight compressions will be attached to the pump. 2 straight compressions will be attached to res. The radiator will have 2 90* swivel compression. Will have another Aldersan pic in a bit.

    update 2:
Heres the pic. OH, and I donno how to add, but the pad is 17" wide, not 16.5. Somehow adding 2 standard 8.5x11 sheets of paper gave me 16.5x11. lol

Ok, so the overall loop layout won't change hopefully but I will probably use a different but similar block to the CHC-120. Unfortunately it has 1/4" barbs that are not removable. While this would be OK for this build, it doesn't allow for expandability.

Also, I made some progress with my cardboard mock-up and am now seeing just how little room is inside here. Unless I can find an ultra thin 120x2 I will be likely going with:

Magicool Pro Slim Profile (157x120x30mm or 6.3x4.7x1.2inch)
    Scythe Slim 120mm (120x120x12mm or 4.7x4.7x.5inch)
    Swiftech Micro Res v2 (101x38x76.2mm or 4x3x1.5inch)

    another update to follow.

    *update*
    Block options-
    GPU-200
    or
    CHC-122

Ultimately, either choice will raise the cost of the build, but I think the "future proof" makes up for it.
