You cant really pick up a drive rack. Fishies...I think he is talking about the pieces that hold your hard drive/floppy/cd drives. In my bawls case I had an existing hard drive rack I pulled from an old computer. You can make one pretty simple though. You pretty much just need 3 pieces of aluminum and a drill. Join the 3 pieces at the correct measurement (Or bend them...which would probably be better) Then drill holes where you need them. Pretty simple. As for buying one, I dont hink you can. I have never tried thouh...google works wonders.

I know where to get them for free. You'd, have to tell me what you want and I can dumpster dive for you. Then I could send it to you. Actually its a trailer full of old computers and parts. This is the one I got last month. I spray painted it black. I'm thinking about going back for another with 3 bays instead of 2.

Ive found Lian Li 3.5" racks on ebay, but no luck so far with 5.25" racks.

Rip um out of a old case, or buy a cheepie compcase and remove them would be the best way.

Only other thing I can think of are these sort of expencive things that are sold at CompUSA...

Lian-Li's are a goldmine for this sorta stuff. A cheap PC-7 will get you a mobo tray, PSU holders, drive racks, and just about all the scrap metal you could possibly need. Knockoffs are available

Can you recommend some of these knockoffs? Ive been looking at the Lian Li cases as a basis for my case mod, but am not looking forward to paying $100 for a case Im going to scrap for parts.
    Thanks

Go to your lcal cmputer store (Not Best Buy) and see if they have any old AT cases lying around. They are useless to most, and you could prbably buy them up at $10.00 per case.

Go for a drive on garbage day, you'd be surprised how many rigs you find. I walk my puppy alot and have come across some pretty new machines recently, just today I found an IBM AT desktop right outside my house. I brought it inside, busted it open and got myself a bunch of switches and drive cage, anyone want a really really old mobo its yours. I've also not long ago found an HP with a 1.5? atholon 40gb hard drive and 256mb of ddr memory, I was dumbfounded why someone threw it out, then I saw the dell box next to it. anyway, turned out it didnt work cause the power cable wasnt plugged in, man did that guy have alot of porn and MP3s on his rig.
