Default Need good EATX 4U rackmount cases...

I have an Intel server board (EATX) and am converting most of my equipment to rackmount at home (two server boards, looking at HDD rack system as well + custom cooling 4u or so, so about 16U worth) and while one of the setups has a specific case available (nonstandard format) the Intel setup can use a bog-standard EATX case and ATX-compliant PSU (currently hunting a redundant ATX-style but probably gonna just have to go with a big ATX unit.)

Cheap is good, needs 3 external 5.25 and that's about it.

I'm building a rack case (buy a set of rails and custom wooden enclosure) so that I don't need, but a recommendation for good rack cases (will buy either two or one and a full length drawer kit) would be very helpful...

I dont have any server experience, but I am sure Airbozo probably could give you a few recommendations.

Actually, newegg sells their Roswell 2U case that looks nice. Might want to see if they have a 4u cuz the 2u is cheap.

Sheesh, I'd send you my rackmount ATX case, if it weren't for the fact that it was so dang heavy....

Pix, as promised (to all; I promised pix of this case a LONG time ago):

The lock system isn't complete, but it shouldn't be too hard to fab the missing parts.
It does have a removable back plate and motherboard tray. It's a 3d puzzle, though.
The key does go with that lock, though.

If only it were a few inches longer... It's ATX, but my board is EATX. It ends about an inch into that CD-ROM drive.

Glad I could offer it to you, though.
