    Default Opteron 2419 Hexacores $0.97!

I grabbed a pair for $8.60 shipped. If you wanna dabble in dual socket, these are Thuban equivalent 1.8GHz processors, and some nForce Pro boards can overclock them, as well!

Do you have a link to an affordable board that would run these?

Hunting for one myself. Boards aren't quite cheap, but the quality is light-years beyond regular desktop stuff.

2-series processors only go that many ways-2 socket. 8-series processors are 2, 4, and 8-way capable. Also, that board as I understand may only support up to first-gen (Barcelona) quads. Still looking for a deal on boards, but I had a load of ECC RDDR2 and a lot of experience with such setups. My total cost is still rather low, but your mileage may vary.

I can't find a board for less than $200. Still not a bad deal for a 12 core system, but it isn't impulse territory for me. Thanks for posting though.
