With a buddy's birthday coming up, I decided to make a special modded up mouse for him. I don't have much money, but he certainly appreciated getting something that nobody else has.

I even presented the mouse in it's original packaging!

First step was to disassemble the mouse and get rid of the crappy bluish silver paint. Resulting finish is bare black plastic with a grained finish. Simple and very clean. Chopped a few holes in the casing to show off the interior work. Just a glimpse.

Sides of the mouse got some attention too.

Interior got a few greeblies from the electronics spares bin, and a bit of painting with detail and drybrushing. Outer edge got an airbrushed copper finish which goes very well with the black finish.

Another angle of the interior.

Reassembled mouse with battery cover off and dongle stored.

Subtle hint of interior detailing.

And the front view.

It took me a couple evenings to finish this one. I really enjoyed doing this mod. Now I need to do one for myself.
