    Default Water cooling is in!

well my water cooling stuff finally got here!

i spent about 6-8 hours setting it all up i got it working to the point where i turned the computer on. i wanted to see what kind of temps i could expect and sure enough i went down about 10-15 C down on load. i shut down and started doing a leak test, i pulled the plug on my computer and used a spare psu i built for testing things and left it running over night. i put paper towel around the computer and fittings so i could see any leaks the next morning. so i get up and what do i see, water all over my desk, ****!, after looking around i see there is only 1 hose going to the rad and the barb is gone! the dam thing snapped. i believe i tightened them to much so this time around i put them on less tight ( i took the barb from my fill port)

i am still doing leak tests so i am going to shut down and test for the next hour or more and then shut off the pump when i go to bed i don 't need any more problems. so with that here are some pictures that i have taken so far. i will get more once i decide on how i want the setup to look like. i plan to order some more barbs and more tubing should i want to change anything, i think i have about 6-7 feet in the loop.

Rad with 6 fans and fan grills

    broken barb

    What i ordered.

here is a screen shot of p95 running for 10 minutes

i will post more later on like i said so what do ya think so far?

Not bad, I need to save up for a water cooling kit one time..... although my temps currently aren't bad.

Lets us know if you fix everything and what your ultimate results are.

Man, I don't think I'll ever have the need, money or time to invest in a watercooling setup. I'll never really understand it either, you'll still be using fans to cool the radiator amirite?

    Pretty tight though.

this is correct raz1r, you will still need the fan to cool the rad, but you can get some nice silent fans with good cfm and your system will run near silent

plus watercooling will keep your temps down when overclocking

Good to see you finally got yourself a WC loop Spawn. Now you are the know it all who has done it lol. 10-15 is a pretty good temp drop with the 6 fans, looks good.

ya me 2, it seems so far that it can go either way.

but on the good new side of things the wicked people at jabtech are sending me a set of swiftech barbs for free so thats good.

back on topic, i hit 4.05GHz without being in -9C winter weather.

i beat my older score of 20048 but i had better temps then

i think/hope whats holding me back now is my low spec (yet the only one that has worked for me so far) and other things.

I wish I had a better motherboard, so I could overclock more than .18GHz

Man your temps at 4.05GHZ are the same as mine at stock with a stock cooler lol. I can't wait to get my system up and running to see the temp changes.
