It may be a nitpic, but a 42" TV is nice, but it's still only going to be 1080p, and at 2' away you are going to see the individual pixels. He would be better off doing something like this:
Still, it's pretty sweet and it's nice to see other machines hooked up so you could have friends over to lan.
