    Default Question about Intel Chipsets

So if I have an i5 2500K can it be paired with a newer 1155 (ivy bridge compatable) motherboard?

I want to sell my gigabyte UD4 and my Corsair 600T to get a much smaller MATX board and case.

Yep, any Ivy bridge board will work, Z77 or otherwise. You may have to flash BIOS when running a new Ivy in an older P67, H67, or H61 Sandy board, but this doesn't apply to you
