    Default WTB: 775 Motherboard

    form factor doesn't really matter. I want to make a file server with some left over parts I have. I would like to have the I/O shield included with the board but wouldn't break a sale if the right board came along.

    Needs to support Core 2 Quad and DDR2 (4gb min), I am specifically going to use a Q9300 or Q9450 depending on the board.

    Would like on the board;
    1x PCIe x16 (2 for sli would be nice but not required)
    2x Sata2 3g (minimum 2, 4+ would be ideal)
    2x PCI (yes PCI, NOT x1, x4...etc)

    I am not wanting to spend more than 50 shipped.

    Thanks,
    Outlaw

    Thanks and no worries. Looks like it would have been perfect though. lol

    I just bit the bullet last night on an Intel DP35DPM on ebay. Ad claimed it was new for 47 shipped.

    Looking again. My 680i passed away a few weeks ago

    Looking for same specs as OP. If I can't find a decent board, I may have a few more parts to add to my fs thread (cpu and ram)

    Thanks,

    Huh? I am still looking for cheap 775 board.

    Would like on the board;
    $50 shipped budget (depending on board, may go a little higher)
    8GB DDR2 support
    1x PCIe x16 (2 for sli would be nice but not required)
    2x Sata2 3g (minimum 2, 4+ would be ideal)
    2x PCI (yes PCI, NOT x1, x4...etc)

    Doh! I thought this was the thread I had started. I guess . . . maybe due to trying to do too much too late last night, maybe partly due to the new look, that this was the thread I started looking for an LGA 775 board.

    I have one around here. I could never get it to post even though the guy on ebay said it was working. I can send it to you if you want. If you can toss shipping my way that's great. If not you can wait a little bit til I have some money to put towards shipping it out and I'll front that cost myself.

    It's a 650i chipset, SLI capable. Your price and requirements are like . . . exactly the same as what I posted before. Your post is a little uncanny to mine at first glance. Sorry about the error.

    Lol No worries. I couldn't ask you to cover shipping.

    If it's not working. I might have to pass. I already have 2 sitting on my desk. Going to be able to make a MB wall like TGS. lol

    Sent pm though.

    Thanks, Outlaw

    Shucks, I went to look at the one that I have that I thought would meet your criteria and it met most with one small exception... it's a BTX board
