First time here- Looking for some novice information. I want to cut some designs out of 16 gauge sheet metal and inlay them into wood. I could use a home type scroll saw with metal blades but I know it would take forever. Could you recommened a cutting tool, even a used commercial type, that could be used for the home fabricator?

There are comapnies that will cut sheet metal to size for you look in your local phone book but If you want to do it yourself and dont want to use a scroll saw then it must be a big job. A dremel is good but it takes a while as well. Most companies jsut use a laser cutter but they are expensive and you dont come across a lot of used ones. If you dont have the time and its a big job just take it to a local comapny. You can use a gilotene for cutting straight edges but not curves.
