    Default first SLI rig

well, i'm building my first computer totally custom. I know my processor, mobo, RAM, and everything else. I was wondering what videocard(x2) i should get if i'm on a somehwhat restricting budget. I dont want to spend any more than 750 bucks on both video cards, 500 is preferred. any help is greatly appreciated.

I would recommend getting the best one card you can buy and then adding the second one later on. That way you wont have to ditch both cards when you want to upgrade.

Whats the other stuff your buying, i think the same as monoflap its probably to buy a better card now and upgrade later instead of buying 2 older cards.

Like you could buy a 7950GX2 with 1gb ddr3 for around $600 from newegg, thats SLi in one card although your mobo may noy support it.

I actually think that it's not the mobo that dictates single-card SLi, I think it's a special driver set.

Definately get one 7900 GTX or 7950 GX2. Don't spring for SLI right away save it for when you need an upgrade
