Another thing you could do is actually dis-assemble the rig (if you still have the antistatic bags and boxes) and then survey it, etc.

I would suggest a modular PSU so that you don't have to have as many cables =o

oh, also, a 7 or 8in LCD would look more than bitchin' in that thing. I would totally put a moniter in either Cav or ArgDawn, but I dont have the moniter or the window design.

    EDIT:

Also, about the speakers, depends on the size. I'll probably be headed to lowes soon so I will just stop by your house and see waht the crap you're talking about.

That is if your mom isn't home =p

Yeah, I should. I just haven't found a good day to do it yet. Where would be the best place to take apart a computer? on the carpet or on a solid desk? I could to either but i'd have more space on the floor.

I actually do have a modular PSU, the SmartPower. The cables are still way long though.

The speakers either can be screwed into the back of the covering of an old optical drive I had, or can just rest facing up or down. If I'm screwing them into the back of the covering, then they'll need to be 1.75". I'm not as worried about the speakers than i am about the device that will amplify them. The last time I tried to power a small amp inside my case, the circuit board of the amp started to smoking that image will forever be with me.

next week wouldn't work unless i get off early, but yeah, than would be great .

Hmm... damn it took me such a while just to find something close to what to I need. These rubber feet might do it, but it would be better if I could find taller ones. sigh.

Also, I'm thinking of painting designs on all of the three windows, but I'm not sure what to paint yet, also replacing the cheap looking plastic bolts with heavy-duty ones.

    Can you paint plexi well?

well, I'm not sure how well un-sanded plexi will take paint, but you could etch it with a dremel, making a small groove, then mask it off and paint into that.

Oh, and if you want to make feet, maybe we can just go to lowes or home depot, trust me, it's like the best place to go for inspiration. =D

    wow, dude. 15 bucks?

does it actually work? like is the lcd controller included? damn, if so nice

can you give me full dimensions? i think i'll seriously consider it. link or yeah, pic would be sick.

    awesome man.

also, I'm considering getting a new power supply that will make this comp function a tid better. my current smart power 2.0 500 w i got for 60, sucks in air from the back, when I want it coming from the bottom, sucking on my cards which are pretty much their own little proccesors (x-fi is damn hot!). you can touch a certain spot on the case and feel the heat radiating from the tiny x-fi heatsink 2 inches away :\. If you want it, I can sell it to you for around 50. great shape since it's only been a few months. anyone else want to take the offer as well?

Uh, it's 10.4 on the diag. That's all I know. It's a sharp. Let me find the SKU on it and google it =p

and no, no controller. That might run a bit, but shop around. I bet you can hunt one down for 50$ or so.

    HOLY CRAP.

the screen, I just found, by itself, is a 200$ piece of hardware.

And I got one for 15$...

    SCORE.

let me find more stuff on this thing...

    Hey.
    Probably the last post.
I've decided on a bunch of things and I think the case is going to be bomb, if I do say so myself .

I'm installing 3 to four fans which are going to blow right over the motherboard which will provide me with a quieter, much cooler system. Also a fan contoller, painted windows, lighting, neat sleeves, also a rumble system (think slow, moving box, not a vibrating box) with motors and other things as well. Also, I think I've decided on the project name "PortaQuake". The ground shake'n coldest microbox before watercooling.

If you still got ideas post or mail, and quik. I'm camping next week and starting the week after I get back. spankin'
