Asking what console people use on a PC modding site haha PC all the way for me
I'm also all PC, although I have a particular fondness for Nintendo, so I've gotten every console up to the Wii. I haven't had money for the Wii U so I haven't gotten it yet, but maybe I will this year at some point. I've been emulating Wii for a while because it is unbelievably better than the Wii in terms of graphic performance (lots of AA and 1080p).
What I do know is that I have literally no interest in PS4 or XBone.
Okay, I'll admit to being that guy who picked the Xbox family. Before I start getting flamed, I'd like to defend myself by saying my favourite series of games is only on the Xbox; I'm a Halo guy. My PC does see use for the Command and Conquer series and Age of Empires II and III. My SO games a lot with me on co-op campaigns and there is no way I'd be able to talk her into cramming around my computer desk when there is a 46" HDTV in front of a big comfy couch in the living room.

Nobody here is going to flame you for liking console games. The whole reason why the Steam Box is becoming a product is because Valve knows there's a difference between "lean back" gaming and "lean in" gaming.
I dunno... flaming is tempting...
I have a hammer! I can put things together! I can knock things apart! I can alter my environment at will and make an incredible din all the while! -Calvin
Thanks guys! I figured that I at least needed to explain myself to keep those temptations down. In any other modding forum I've been a part of, flaming would almost certainly have happened. I guess the fact that I can honestly answer a poll like this and know that I won't get flamed is why this is the only forum I'm still active on.

They're all computers at the end of the day, plus a lot of folks really go all out and into great detail with their consoles just as much as some others mod their computers =)
I've (hopefully) got a console to show off soon that will have had more modding done to it than any computer I have worked on. I say hopefully because there have been a number of hiccups that have meant that it's a 2+ year project.
I feel like this current gen of consoles we're finally seeing that they really are nothing more than oddly shaped computers with custom OSes. Neither the Xbox One or the PS4 was really finished at launch. Both have features to be added via software updates that are still ongoing. Steam OS is a great example of this too, they tried to make a console-like platform in terms of simplicity of sitting down and playing while still allowing for custom hardware.
