    Default video card to run Red Orchestra & Source

    sup yall im new to the forums and i was just wondering what video card i should get to run RO and Source. it can only be PCI... i know i need buy a new MoBo to be able to accept PCI-E or AGP, but for now can i give me any suggestions for a great PCI card that will tun those games with decent performance. specs in my sig.
    MY Rig
    -P4 2.8GHz
    -2x256MB NANYA DDR
    -Intel MoBo
    -integrated grapichs for now...
    doing a complete comp overhaul only keepin the RAM and CPU...wish me luck

    well for AGP i recommend the ATI Radeon 9550 and for PCI-E i recommend 7600 GT. ive tested both of them and they should both run source games. good low range cards.

    100GB HDD 7200 RPM SATA
    2x in SLI, 7600 GT 256 MB

    well, what about a PCI card to run those games. right now my MoBo only has PCI slots.

    From what I can tell, that has the highest Core Clock speed of all of the 128mb cards, so unless you want to spend some more money and get one with 256mb of memory, that is probably your best bet.

    check out this card should do what ever you want it to for a while, and has higher specs than the one your looking at, for only a few dollars more..

    the first con on that card says it runs source poorly. trust me, go with the card i suggested.

    This 9600 XT has the best reviews.

    I have one of the pci 5200's and you are right qoou it runs source poorly (and several other games). When my SO's laptop died I slapped together a pci only system and she got that card. She is happy with it since it looks good playing on-demand hockey at 1280x1024.
