    I would have to agree this time .. dont want fade out the fine art work done on the Queen.

    I completed the kitbashing and painting on the "stasis cradle" that holds the nasty little queen. Parts were mostly from model cars, and also the radar dish from a Millenium Falcon model. The next step is to install the LED in the cradle and cover the entire thing in clear cast resin to water proof it.








    Here's a close up detailing the little "stainless steel" ring that secures the creature's tail. Its actually a chrome wheel rim from a 1/32 scale Cobra:

    I installed a superbright (6500mCd) LED in the stasis cradle. The lamp and wires were then sealed in with clear cast resin to make it water tight. The edges on the two acrylic disks were unpainted so it would illuminate:
