You could also use LCD Studio, that is quite easy to use, I use it for mods on my G15.

I have a volt meter in the interocitor that I rigged up to show hard disk activity....It's very easy to do.....All you need is the leads that normally run to your HDD-LED and you put a variable resistor in series with the voltmeter. Then you connect to the motherboard in the normal fashion. When the hard drive starts up you trim the variable resitor so that the volt meter gives a reasonable throw (Beware don't let it go to full deflection or you'll bend the tiny delicate parts of the volt meter) You can then hide the variable resitor away and forget it.

P.S. I love this mod! Where did you find that super ammo can? I've not seen one in the U.K.

Oh, where abouts would you wire the capacitor, in the diagram?

The meter for the Hd activity sounds great. Ill have to do some more research and see what I can find with a depth small enough.

    A small update.

I wanted to add a usb port to the front of the case but I didnt want to have it behind the door. This is so I could close the door if I had a mouse and keyboard hooked-up to it. I chose my spot on the case and this is where it is.

Is not the best looking spot but because of all of the stuff inside I was limited to placement. It was either here or at the very top in the middle (would have had to cut out the U.S. stamped area.). So, I cut out my hole.

Threw on some paint and called it finished. I may try to blend the colors better but Im not really that worried about it.

    Thanks for all the support

Lots of work, I like it, especially reinforcing the handles - that's no easy task. +rep

I think it was on Dave's TIP-3000 that it was mentioned. As far as i know you would put it either side of the gauge, I've no idea of values though
