    Default Heat generated by parts

What generates more heat, a GPU or the chipset?

it depends which one you use. generally the gpu gets a lot hotter under full load, but if the chipset is overclocked and you do all sort of things on it, it will get hot as well.

gpu is hotter unless you are pumping some serious voltage thru the chipset. watercooling helps the chipset if you are planning to coltage mod it, otherwise just grab a good fan sink and lap the sink and the chipset to get good contact
