I was looking on the Ubuntu Forums, and apparently there isn't a solution. Intel ICH8 just isn't supported by the kernel yet. I got Mandriva to work on a different computer, and it's nice. I really like it. I only got to play around with it for like 5 minutes, but from what I've seen, KDE is nice. But I still like Gnome better.
