People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.
Thats like when someone takes a WinXP distro, strips off all of the un-needed bits, adds drivers, patches or whatever, and releases it under a fancy name

The evil brother of XP Home!
Need a sig
Im running Xp pro sp2 on my desktop, and Vista64rc2 on my laptop (asus A6km).
Unfortunately ASUS are refusing to release vista drivers until it is on the shelves, which seems completely idiotic to me. They've got the chance to run a public beta test of their drivers in order to insure a smooth transition to vista from their 'vista ready' laptops, yet they prefer to go with a hard launch! This means that I can't use aero/glass themes and I can't do anything remotely graphics-heavy. Opening solitaire crashes it.
That said though, the file system and navigation is instant. There is no delay whatsoever whilst browsing through your files like there is in XP, which will hang for a few seconds ever so often when it gets grumpy!
Vista has impressed me greatly.
