Well I took a case a part and now I need to put it back together, there were rivets which obviously had to be removed. I would like to know with what kind of screws I should replace them with.

Make it simple, replace rivets with rivet, the too is not expensive between 10-35$

Dang I didn't think of such tool. Will have to go buy it once I have time, I don't need it now luckily.

I need one of those. Although I do like putting cases togather with nuts and bolts, takes up more space but can look killer too. You know what they say "necessity is the mother of invention"
Also, use steel poprivets, and they're probably 1/8" on any conventional case.
Protip: For the Arrow version of the popriveter he linked + 100 1/8" steel poprivets should be 15$, and very handy.
