Ok so I have to ask... Which came out first Battlefield Vietnam or Battlefield 1942? Because I thought that Battlefield 1942 came first but they have that for the mac and not Vietnam. Any word on Battlefield Vietnam coming out for mac? Oh yea, and is anyone going to preorder Battlefield 2? Thanks.

im pretty sure that bF 1942 came out way before BF Vietnam.

Battlefield !942 was teh first installment, and i think there may have been expansions for this... Then vietnam came out which had much more friendly interface and was graphically upgraded.
And i'm not that in tune with Mac games, only thing i've ever used them for is vid editing at a film school.

Battlefield 1942 came out in 2001 and was IGN Game of the Year, I think the Mac version was out in 2002?
Battlefield Vietnam came out in 2004 and was based on an optimised Battlefield 1942 engine, there is no and will probably be no Mac release because battlefield 2 is just around the corner.
Battlefield 2 looks fantastic and will probably be the only pc game I'll buy this year.

Not going to pre-order BF2 but I am going to buy it as soon as my exams are over. As far as I can see all I am going to be doing over the holidays is BF2, Modding and working at some minimum wage paying job helping obnoxious customers. But it will all be worth it when I can go home and play BF2 on my first (well second at least) class GPU which I am going to buy!
There is no other choice.

This is one game that is on my list of upcoming purchases. Difinetly going to grab the demo when its available.
