Default Write to ext2/3 from NTFS

It seems a lot of people are now dual-booting some Linux distro and XP. I was looking for a long time for an easy way to write from ext3 (Linux) to NTFS (XP) but found that lots of problems are encountered and it overall is not a very safe thing to do. Then, I stumbled across this.

    http://fs-driver.org/

It is a program that lets Windows read/write to your ext2/3 partitions from Windows. Now, instead of having your important Linux documents accessible only from Linux, you can read and write to them from Windows. You can also copy and paste Linux documents to your Windows partition, which is basically the NTFS write support you were looking for in the first place.

I have been using this software for about a week now for webpage editing, and have only encountered one problem. A message came up saying the drive was not formatted and asked if I would like to do so now. NO. The easy fix is a reboot. That's the only trouble I've had, and I am very pleased with this. If you dual-boot Linux and Windows, I definitely recommend checking this out.

Great find! I will check this out for sure! Right now I just make a fat32 partition that both windows and linux can write to. This may solve some security issues for a couple of customers. THanks!

To install Ubuntu and still have XP, do I have to have a separate partition for Ubuntu?

Thanks sgtm, I'll get around to all that when I'm done fighting spyware, backup my system, and then I'll install Ubuntu.
