The GTX has two power slots because it needs the extra power.

I know about the cards that come with pre-installed water blocks and I know about how water cooling voids warrenties.

I can save about $300 because Sparkle is a cheeper brand over the bigger brands. In Australia we have a computer search engine called staticice (www.staticice.com.au), this lists the top 20 prices for the product you list into the search engine (like google). Over some rrp's I can save about $300 AUS. My card is costing me about $836AUS and a XFX or BFG or even MSI equivelant card can cost me anywhere from $1000 AUS to $1200 AUS.

It's great that you are saving a lot. But the final price compared to what I pay here in the US is still a lot. Why is the price difference so high in Australia?

You mentioned a Google-like search engine. I used Google before and it doesn't always find the lowest price.

ya i later figured that out. i knew they need extra power i was just wondering why there was two plugs. on the earnmax galaxy 850watt psu i only saw two plugs for it so i assumed that it was one plug for each card. but they have another two that you can hook up to the second video card.

Staticice.com is really good because it only shows prices in australia, well only prices for stock that has been submitted by distriuters. I pay with cash anyway so I save even more money lol.

Australian prices are WAY inflated because of a couple of things:
1: The cards are not made locally, meaning shipment costs for fragile items will turn out to be more then just 50$.
2: The hassle companies make for themselves when selling US items in Australia. If someone comes to return a faulty card the company then has to ship it BACK to US which will cost them $$$
3: Business is business, if you wanna make a profit you have to make the prices higher then normal.

All these things add up to be a massive hike in prices for Australian buyers as opposed to just buying the card off newegg and not paying some other company to take care of the warranty of your card.
