Which is where they would look first. Making any "stealthing" program you have utterly usless. Your only real defence would be to destroy the information before they came to your door. After all, if your not in possesion of illegal material, you've done nothing wrong...
You are right that the FBI is more intrested in catching Piracy Profiteers than some 13 year old kid who illegaly downloads his favorite metallica tracks.
