    Yep. Some mini ITX boards have compact flash boot ability, and there are a couple of add on cards that give it.

    Yes, CF means compact flash. A 4gb CF card is around 70-90 bucks. Not bad for something that is solid state.

    I've read though that CF cards have a finite number of rewrites, and then fail.

    Make sure you turn off any drive caching/swap file or you may end up with a dead CF card rather quickly.

    If someone really wants small, picoITX is coming out soon and is 1/2 the size of nanoITX and 1/4 the size of miniITX.
