Yes, CF means compact flash. A 4gb CF card is around 70-90 bucks. Not bad for something that is solid state.

I've read though that CF cards have a finite number of rewrites, and then fail.
Make sure you turn off any drive caching/swap file or you may end up with a dead CF card rather quickly.
