    Is another name for chipset voltage v-link? please relpy asap.also, how safe is it to have the ddr voltage as 2.8?

    all voltages are safe as long as you keep it cool. its the heat that damages the transistors. im on an oldschool mobo and i cant change the chipset voltage so i dunno

    It depends what your RAM is meant to take. Check on the website. Also, how long as it been running for?

    i was overclocking, i couldn't get into windows and in a how to i had read it said to up the chipset voltage. anyway, that isn't the problem now. F**king Windows XP is Corrupt! Or at least on main file is. Help Me!!!! Go to the thread in Operating Systems

    overclocking from a how-to isnt a good idea if you follow a step by step guide you dont know what you are really doing and even if the how-to was for the exact same setup, every single piece of hardware is different. having said that, im sure you wont try it again without really knowing whats what. set everything to the default level and reinstall windows if the repair doesnt work.

    BTW: it wasn't a How- to, more of a general outline of overclocking methods for beginners.

    if you reinstall, only the windows folders will be deleted such as my music, my pictures and all that, all the others will stay like program files and your own directories

    all that and the emails from outlook express too if they are not backed up. if you need them, copy them to an other hard drive.
