    Amen.

    It's worth buying, even.

    Definitely.

Though if you're lucky, you may catch a marathon on History Channel. That's when I first saw it, and I watched it for like 6 hours straight.

    • Tombstone of Fireflies (6/5)
    • Spirited Away (5/5)
    • Whisper of the Heart (5/5)
    • The Cat Returns (4.5/5)
    • Mononoke Hime (4.5/5)
    • Howls Moving Castle (4.5/5)
    • Nausicaa (4/5)
    • My Neighbor Totoro (4/5)
    • Porco Rosso (4/5)
    • Laputa (4/5)
    • Kiki's Delivery Service (4/5)
    • Only Yesterday (3/5)
    • Ocean Waves (?/5)
    • Ponpoco (?/5)
    • Ponyo on a Cliff (-2008-)

Just three more films to go!

    • Tales from Earthsea - by Goro Miyazaki (?/5)

    Has anyone seen this one?

and just for laughs and giggles...

The company is well-known for its strict "no-edits" policy in licensing their films abroad. This has stemmed from the disastrous dubbing of Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind when the film was released in the United States as Warriors of the Wind (it was heavily edited and Americanized). There is a rumor that when licensing Princess Mononoke, Miyazaki mailed Miramax a katana with a note reading "no cuts", to underline their "no-editing" policy.
People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

I can't believe that The Crow or Braveheart haven't been mentioned yet.

Or the first Terminator for that matter.

Or for that matter, Equilibrium. Great movie. Go watch it.

And another independent film just came to mind--Go.

Where the hell is Dazed and Confused?

Don't make me make a list...I don't have time for it at the moment!

Fine, I'm seeing some glaring ommisions:

    All the Harry Potter Movies
    The Hobbit (cartoon)
The Sergio Leone trilogy: For a Few Dollars More, The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, and A Fistful of Dollars
    Titan AE
    MiB and MiBII
Star Wars IV, V, and VI (not the crap that was released as prequels!)
    Strange Days
    Dirty Harry
    Borat
Any James Bond starring Sean Connery
Casablanca--best movie of all time imho
    Anything directed by Mel Brooks
Miami Vice--much darker than the TV show from the 80's
    T2

And I'm sure there's more that I'm not even thinking of at this time.
