Nice summary, I've seen several of these out there and this was a decent one.

Pretty good guide there tho its a year old at this point. Any updated, better guides out there?

I'm upgrading my gaming rig right now and will build an HTPC with the left over parts, but I'm generally clueless on where to start.

My main question is how does the whole cable thing work? Do I still need a converter box (just no DVR)?

Will the Ultra Bay device be sufficient to drive everything?

Thanks for any help y'all can offer.

Yeah... sorry. I mean cable TV. I get the TV Card thing, but where would I plug it in? Is there hardware for that?

Sorry for the newb questions... but I know nothing in this arena. Been building 'puters for many years, but never tried to do this.

    Thanks for the help.
