    No offense guys I think that is totally rediculous. the point of a nibbler is to offer a cheap alternative to case cutting. If your going to buy an electric or pneumatic tool ya might as well buy a jigsaw.

    A jigsaw isnt as accurate as a nibbler tho It takes very little finishing to complete a nibbled edge. Also you can't always cut with a jigsaw its only any good on sheet material.

    I guess it depends on the blade you use. we've cut 1\4" steel with a jigsaw, I think it was the stock all purpose blade too.

    I wasnt meaning the thickness really, just when you have angled metal and bends you cant always get a jigsaw in place to make a cut
