i added some details to the sidepanel, with my white and black eddings
hi
this week i put clear varnish(revell email clear) on the sidepanel
i did it 2 time with a smal brush, to cover all the ups and downs of my structure
after the drying, i made a mount test with the shock rifle
test in the darkness, with the shock rifle light ...
hope u enjoy
these are the final pics of the left panel
i added the last details on the corners
remember the drawing
i think it's not so bad
the signs on the up right and down left corner are done by an blue edding Permanent Marker 3000, a steady hand and many patience
i added some more structure under the cables
final wallpaper
have fun and enjoy
hi
last week i made holidays
but this week i did the logo and the paintjob of the other sidepanel
i cut the "3" for the logo, this is the 1st fitting test
now i sanded the acryl, in order that the color stick
and painted the acryl with my email color in red and black
during drying the color, i cut the "U" of the logo -> the new version is bigger than the old one
now it fits
i also cut and mount the half-circles of the sidepanel
this is my superglue
the mounting ...
it's done
so, the color was well dried
after painting the sidepanel analog to the other, i put the logo together,
replaced the old smal "U" with the big one and made the first test
So far, so good.

ut3 Casemod
left to do
- shaping the top i try like this updated render ....
- painting the case inside
i don't know which color, red to make a contrast or blue to fit the theme .... any suggestions ?
- painting the case behind the front "door"
i prefer black .... what about you ?
- and some things i have forgotten
i decided to add a typ of alien styled head (skull) on top of the case in the hollow
i bought one a long time ago
but it's not as perfect as i want
so i decided to cut the underjaw and add some filler :naughty:
here you see how it looks like till now
now i have to find some eyes
i'm back
sorry guys i was 2 weeks in a it-boot-camp (mircosoft certification)
i already did 2 things, i shaped the top and i painted one layer of the base color
for the inside of my case
i shaped the cave with polyurethane foam, to get a basic form
i put some cable on the foam to make it crazy
now i used a old pantyhose -> pulled it over the foam and put some polyester resin molding material over it
the holding for the tubes will be some pices of my lego collection
i decided to use 2 color for the inside of my case, black and a uv blue
i put the black on the back, the front (behind the door) and on the right side behind the
mainboard mounting
the uv blue i would use at the inside, the opacity not as desired and unfortunately the color was empty before i cover the
entire interior once, damn ... so i have to order more, much more and do it again
thats all, till now
2 hours of wiring, mounting and combining and the skull has yellow eye's
i made the first functional check see it here
hi there
damn that suxx, i had my sd broken and 30 worklog pic's missing
last weekend i got at last a new sd card, furthermore the hardware for the ut3 mod has arrived
i try to resume what happend on the missing pics
first i use the lego ufo to make a little mountain in the front of the top
the i put some filler on the surface of the top
so i could fix the tubes between the cave and the lego ufo
now the painting starts, again i used the water color to ground the surface
i used 3 main color on top, the theme color black mixed with magenta and some blue on the legoufo
now the accentuate starts with some white watercolor and for some special effects with an white edding
now the clear varnish painted and the top is nearly done
i painted the tubes with my email color in black and silver (it's empty, have 2 buy new one this week)
-> thats why it's not finished 100%
i put something together and installed the hardware
i use a core2duo e6420 OC @3,2 Ghz with 2 GB RAM on a new asus p5k deluxe
--> it's stable but i'm still testing
final pic soooooooooooooon
