This thing has some good potential!

Can you post a picture of the case you're mounting it in? I really want to see how this will look when it's done.

I'm thinking about using it as a center piece on a Mayan Temple Mod,
    Seriously

That's a great find! It could be used in so many different genres of cases: Mayan temple, futuristic starship, etc etc. It'd look awesome. I really like the bubbles.

If you're going to use the rotating colour wheel, why don't you use colour changing LEDs to make them fade into eachother and make the colour changes more subtle? I reckon it'd make it look a lot more slick.

I went ahead and bought the wood I will need to build the Mayan Temple.
I have several different designs in mind and simply need to choose one.

Here are some pictures to give ya'll an idea of what it will look like.

    A possible addition.

I'm going to sketch the design out, and Report back with a devised plan of action.

The second temple looks good and quite simple to construct. The res on top would look great.

I was thinking I'd sink it down to level 3 so it doesn't look odd towering on the top.

I will have a chance to do some detailed work, and get my paint brushes and acrylic out.
I got a Huge sheet of thin plywood. . 1 ply I guess, Smells Great.

Though I'm having second thoughts about it being the right material. . I kinda wanted to do some styrene scribing.
I will just have to find bigger sheets if i plan to use it. All they had at the Hobby shop were little tiny 8x6 pieces and Strips. .

Anyone else wanna do one? We could have a Mayan Mod Build Off.

I would go with the whole sinking it down a few levels, you're right it would be a bit over powering.

And for materials I'd use plywood because you can spray an undercoat on it rather than hand paint it to save time. polystyrene will crumble when sprayed with can paint.

Much Appreciated! I'll take that into consideration.

I made another trip to Home Depot today
. .got more supplies I may or may not need.

To many Ideas. .I have 30 tabs open Looking at all these different Mayan Temples.
If anyone can find a Great model of a Mayan Temple
. .Feel free to PM it my way.

I'm gutting the Compaq Evo desktop case I'm going to use for the foundation.

This thing was a pain to clean out. All kinds of hex screws and lip rivets.

Took two Hours. . So your going to have to put up with another picture
