nice work man!!! LEDs and lights can make anything cool. Even a toaster would look sweet with LEDs in it.
Note to self: stay away from the toaster.

Thanks man. If I can get the truck running again, I have plans for lots more LED's.
So, the truck is back on the road after 8 months, and completely ripping out the interior.
Here's what things looked like a few weeks ago.
And here's what it looks like now. I had single LED's under each seat lighting up the floor, but they died on me. So tomorrow I'll be wiring up 3 LED's under each seat which will be set in some clear (or maybe frosted) plexi.
Glad to see the truck is back on the road man!!! Also looking forward to seeing some more interior lighting.
Brand new pics:
haha...putting LED's and CCFL's in cars is FUN! Now you need to make a little switch plate and add a few different colors each on their own switch so you can totally change the mood in your truck with the flip of a few switches. Awesomeness.
There is no 'ctrl' button on Chuck Norris's computer. Chuck Norris is always in control.
So, inquiring minds want to know, did you end up sanding the plex?
Actually, I didn't use any plexi yet. I started thinking about it, and decided that it would probably diffuse too much, and I wouldn't get the general glow that I was looking for. Here's what I was thinking about on my way to work tonight. We collect and recycle soda cans. A LOT of soda cans. I'm thinking about sacrificing a couple of them to make a reflective cone, not unlike what you would find in a flashlight. I figure cut them up, polish, and shape.
How does this look from the outside? Is it supper noticeable? In alot of places this might be of questionable legality if its bright enough to be a "distraction".
What if I'm a Snowstorm burning
What if I'm a world unturning.
That's the cool thing about it. There is a very faint glow from the outside. Faint enough that if you were to pass me on the street, you wouldn't know the cab was lit up.
