Also, you are changing the FSB (front side bus). Intel "quad-pumps" their processors, meaning its 400x4. Hence, the 1600 FSB. Some BIOS (like mine) show the output of the post quad-pumped number (like mine is at 1485ish).

Like I said, take it slow, up the FSB but with small increments, run Prime95 a lot, when you get an error, up the voltage... It's very tedious, and boring, but a good OC should take a couple of weeks to do.
Ugh, I miss my 10x multiplier. That made my life soooo much easier...

EDIT: I actually found out that two of the reviews use my exact motherboard - P5WDH, and one of them used very similar RAM. They were also around the 4.75V. Furthermore, I've tried every increment of voltage (all w/ RAM at default settings), between 4.5 and 5.5 and it just won't boot at 3.6GHz.
This getting really, really annoying, what should I do now?

Wait until you don't have to use beta BIOS. That's the likely culprit. Once there's more support for your proc, it will be easier.

Yeah, I suppose. I guess this thing was getting me a lot more frustrated then I should've been...

Always happens when someone with the same hardware is getting more out of it. Like I said though, once you have some decent BIOS, you shouldn't have this much trouble.

I took mine up to 333MHz after a couple of hours of running. And it's taking stock voltages fine! I will say this though, good overclocks only take a couple of hours if you know how to stress the system well. Although running prime95 is a good indicator.

Also, heat is a major factor of the performance of a CPU and how much you can overclock. My old Hyper48 has a maximum load temp of about 51c (MAX)

Those voltages sound a little high.....

Can you link me to these reviews?

First, I have absolutley no clue why I said 4.~ voltage I meant "they had it at 1.4750V..." Yeah 4-5 volts probably is a little high...
    Heres one.

    Heres the second one.

There ya go, mine won't boot no matter what voltages I try it at unless its default.

Try lowering your multiplier to 8 and see how you go.
