    Default My first casemod

    Hi,
Last summer a friend and me were bored.
He happened to have a pc lying around, it was unmodded, so we thought we'd better fix that
Neither of us had done a casemod before, so offcourse, we made some mistakes.
I don't have any pictures from when we were working on it, but here's the completed case:

    Side:

That was supposed to be a lambda but we forgot to check if the panel was positioned correctly before we started cutting it.
We cut it with a hacksaw, but we couldn't find the blade for aluminum, so we just used the wood blade.
The window is a piece of plastic from a box a toy came in, stuck to the panel with hot glue.

    Without flash:

    Sorry for blurryness.
The blue was a fan that was allready instaleld, the red light is 6 leds hotglued to a piece of a cd case, bent with a lighter. It's stuck in an empty drive bay with ducttape. The wires for the leds were jammed in an unused molex connector and hotglued in place.

    The other side:

we didn't have any clear paint to go on top of the chrome paint, so we just tell people it was supposed to look like that, it look nicer IRL than on the picture.

    Another pic:

you can also see my garfield poster and Van Halen painting, I aslo made that when i was bored.

Nice . maybe its the picture giving a orange hue but it looks a little blurry with the paint. Or unless its graffiti style. I think it might be the chrome just giving that blurry look. Unfortunate that the window version of the symbol is 90 degrees off. Definately a honest mistake which I'm sure I would end up doing if i was trying to do that XD

I like the idea of using stuff that you had around and modded with it.

Pretty damn spiffy for a "use-what-ya-got" mod. My kind of project. +rep for effort, and 'cause the silver panel looks quite good.

Gee, it damn sure took me long enough to find and add the origin of the first quote...

I like it, it looks pretty sweet, but I think for more effects, you should add a design around the lambda, with a different color, I think black would be nice.
